I see Mom with that big humongous suitcase ~ bet she’s going on ANOTHER trip. And I see I get to go to Aunt Lynn’s ~ wahoo! Hershel is so glad to see me! Snuggled hard with Mom on the way to the airport, now I’ll need a surrogate snuggler for awhile. When we got back, we invited Cheyenne (cute Corgi mix from across the street) over to play and the three of us raced like maniacs until we just couldn’t anymore. After dinner (I fooled Aunt Lynn: picked out all my kibble and put it on the floor to get to the parmesan cheese in the bottom of the dish. Ha! I am so clever.), we went for a long walkie and ended up in the park where there was a cute black puppy that liked me. Then I settled in for a long winter’s snuggle on Aunt Lynn’s lap until it was time for bed.

I love mornings! Good morning! Time to get up and get happy! After awhile Hershel and I did lots and lots and lots of errands with Aunt Lynn. Then the best part: walkies! We went over to Molly’s house and took her along on our walk. I think Molly is HOT! She’s a 6-month-old bichon frise and is a little spitfire! Was I that busy when I was her age? Geez!! We walked all the way to the park and Molly kept trying to get me to chase her. I thought chicks were supposed to play hard to get. I like her anyway, even if she is a loose woman. Aunt Lynn said she could come to my birthday party on Friday. I hope she doesn’t flirt with all the other guys there. Tonight Hershel got one of his bones and I got one of my meat sticks. I preferred Hershel’s bone and he preferred my meat stick, so we switched. I love sharing!

This is the last day of my adolescence: tomorrow I’ll officially be old enough to drink in most states. I promise not to let it go to my head! Today we took a long walkie down to Ferginson’s house. (Fergie is another Corgi.) Then he came over for a sleep-over so he can come to my party tomorrow. So right now, all the boys are here. The three girls will come tomorrow. We played lap-wars with Aunt Lynn: I tried to get up highest on her lap, then Fergie tried to get even higher. (I’m used to working alone!) I miss giving you my little J.J. kisses, Mom. Hope you’re having a good time. Love you!

Mom!! Thanks for my birthday message!! You’re the best!! All the boys wished me happy birthday this morning as we did laps around the living room and family room together!! Then outside to play a little ball, then back in for a scrumptious breakfast of the-same-old-thing, then more play with the guys. My party was a blast! It went for 3 hours!! Everybody hung out in the backyard, we ran through the tunnel together, and then there was: MY CAKE!! I got to sit on a chair and go for it ~ I liked the cheese icing the best (licked most of it off before anybody else got any.) Aunt Lynn said I could have as much as I wanted, but I would have to skip dinner. Sounded good to me! I even got some birthday prizes!! All the humans fell in love with me (what’s not to love?) and commented on what a nice boy I am. Heck, you could’ve told them that!! Can’t wait to show you the pictures. Still love you best, Mom. xoxoxoxo

Today when I woke up, I ran outside and jumped up on the patio chair I was on yesterday and looked closely at the patio table. There was no cake there!! So I sat on that chair for a few more minutes, as if to say, “where are all my people? I want to dance, I want to sing, I want to cha-cha-cha.” Aunt Lynn laughed so hard watching me wait for another party to begin that she almost peed in her pants. The End.

The most fun we had today was going to Fergie’s house again and hanging out in his backyard together. I don’t think I told you about his yard: it’s great! It’s got lots of fun plants, and pathways through flowers, and a pond (which I did NOT jump into!), and some fountains. Hershel and Fergie and I like to run through the pathway really fast. Aunt Lynn didn’t share any of her pizza with me over there, so I paid her back by licking her ice cream bowl clean for her this evening when she left the room for a second. I’m ever so helpful :)

Hi Mom! Thanks for the email about all the snow at Aunt Wendy’s house. I think I would have had a blast in it! But I’m a spoiled southern California boy at heart. I bet Aunt Wendy looks fabulous in her beautiful wedding dress! Today Hershel and I invited Cheyenne from across the street over to play and bag out with us. We’re either going 100 mph or at a dead snooze together. When the mail carrier came by today, she called me a poodle. What’s wrong with people? I think I’ll just go ahead and bark at her the next time she does that. Today I just huffed at her while the other guys barked. Glad you’re having a good time with Aunt Wendy and Uncle Jason. See you soon.

It doesn’t look like we’ll be able to go to the beach this time around: it’s raining hard, and probably will keep up until you get back, Mom. It’s not as fun as snow, but we do need it. So, not much is new: don’t think I’ll want to go on a walkie today. But I sure love to get my squeaky toy and run around like a banchee. I can just exercise myself, thank-you-very-much. Aunt Lynn is driving me nuts with all her brushing: she got on some website about grooming Bichons and she’s using me as her guinea pig. Great. I can’t jump up on the couch without her whipping out that pin brush. What’s a guy to do? I want you back, Mom!!
